Lady Warriors Fall to King’s Academy

Dillon Christian School took their first region loss of the season on Tuesday as the Lady Warriors fell to the King’s Academy Lions 3-2.

After a close 27-25 first set went to the Warriors, the Lady Lions rallied for back to back sets of 19-25. Dillon Christian pushed for a 25-18 finish in game four, but fell to the Lions 11-15 in the final set.

Lauren Lee and Holly Davis led the Lady Warriors, with Lee earning 11 kills, four blocks, and two aces, and Davis making 10 kills and three aces. Courtney Miller made an impressive 25 assists and also added three aces.

Kathryn Brown added four kills for DCS; Hailey Harris added three digs and two aces; Kylee Sullivan made two kills and an ace; and Sarah Fitzgibbons and Frances Stephens added one kill each.

The Lady Warriors evened out their regular season record to 5-5 and added their first loss in SCISA Region 4-2A for a 3-1 record.

Dillon Christian School will host Pee Dee Academy tonight beginning with junior varsity action at 4:00 p.m. On Monday, September 26, the Lady Warriors will host Williamsburg Academy. Be sure to come out to support our local teams!
