Stevie Cook, 33, husband of Erica Herring Cook, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at his home after a brief illness.
Stevie was born May 7, 1977 in Dillon, a son of Mary Cook and Alsworth Carter. He was formerly employed with Beneteau, Inc. Stevie was a Mason and a member of Aurora Masonic Lodge #33 in Clio.
Surviving Stevie in addition to his wife of the home are: his children, Mackenzie Cook, Ethan Cook and David Cook, all of the home; his mother Mary Cook of Columbia; 2 brothers, Jerry (Tracey) Cook of Wilson, NC and Terry (Melissa) Cook of Columbia; a sister, Tina Cook (Danny) Roberts of Latta; 5 nephews, Brandon Cook, T.J. Jackson, Matthew Cook, Justin Roberts and Jacob Roberts; a niece, Courtney Cook; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Lou Herring of Mullins; a sister-in-law, Paige Herring; a special friend, Mark Barrineau; and his dogs, Lucky and Jet.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Teddy Rabon and Rev. Neil Hinson officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemtery.
Visitation was held Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
