Doris Carter Caulder, 77, died Thursday June 24, 2010 at her home in Latta, SC. Visitation was Saturday June 26, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta. Funeral services were held Sunday June 27, in Sardis Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with burial in Sweat’s Cemetery in Sellers, SC.
Mrs. Caulder was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, a loving mother, and housewife.
Born in Dillon County on April 16, 1933 a daughter of the late Sarah Martha Cook and Burke Carter. She was married in Dillon December 23, 1949 to the late Ben Caulder.
Surviving Mrs. Caulder are her son, Ben Caulder, Jr. and his wife Donna of Dillon, SC; daughters, Shirley Daniels of the home, Susie C. Causey and husband Mike of Sellers, SC, and Dorothy Caulder of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Benny Carter and his wife Carolyn of Latta, SC; and one sister, Jennie Vive Blaha of Sellers, SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters; Alpha C. Turner and Geraldine Forrester, and one grandson, Billy Dwayne Truttman.
