City Of Dillon Visitor Center Is Partner In Discover South Carolina’s Front Porch Program

DILLON – The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism (SCPRT) has named the City of Dillon Visitor Center a partner in Discover South Carolina’s Front Porch Program.

The Front Porch Program connects local visitor centers and destination marketing organizations in small towns and big cities all over the state with South Carolina’s bustling state-operated Welcome Centers and the powerful Discover South Carolina brand. The program was created to help local entities amplify their reach to attract more visitation.
“The City of Dillon Visitor Center is thrilled about participating in the Front Porch Program and partnering with the South Carolina Welcome Centers to provide visitors with engaging information while extending a warm welcome that encourages exploration of Dillon,” said City of Dillon’s Downtown Coordinator, Lisa Moody. “We’re dedicated to guiding visitors to local gems, promoting small businesses, and fostering a genuine connection with our community. Through this collaboration, we also aim to boost local tourism by showcasing Dillon’s distinctive charm, attracting visitors to support our businesses and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of our city.” Certified Front Porch program participants share information, promote special events, and provide SCPRT with up-to-date information about their destinations. This allows SCPRT’s nine Welcome Centers to share the latest and greatest information available about our destinations with our millions of visitors, helping increase visitation to those areas and improving visitor experience upon arrival. Program members receive an official window cling and certificate to promote their participation in the program; bulk copies of state maps and the Discover South Carolina Vacation Guide; and access to special training and events hosted by SCPRT’s expert travel staff.

Your First Stop in SC, Dillon’s two historic districts, restaurants, shopping, and accommodations—plus its location along Interstate 95 near the South Carolina/North Carolina border— make it a convenient and charming place for travelers and tourists to stop.
