Veteran-Owned Business Celebrates Sixth Anniversary

A veteran-owned business recently celebrated an anniversary.

Airtek Heating and Cooling, LLC, owned and operated by Robby James Owens, observed its sixth year in business this past September.
Airtek is an HVAC contractor who specializes in A/C installation, A/C system maintenance, A/C system repair, ductless heating and A/C services, HVAC system maintenance, HVAC system repair, heating system installation, heating system maintenance, heating system repair, and many other residential and commercial services.

Airtek is located at 210 West Main Street, Dillon.
Owens is an honor graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College, where he graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science General Technology and Applied Science and Welding Diploma. Owens is also an Army combat veteran, where he served seven years in the South Carolina Army National Guard.
During his time in the SCANG, Robby served over three years of active duty included, two combat tours in Afghanistan.
While in the SCANG, he received the Joint Service Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal W/M Device, and the NATO Medal. He also received the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Badge, and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two campaign stars.
Owens is a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, the church he grew up in. He enjoys racing go-karts and has won several track championships. His greatest blessings in his life are his children, Wesley, Riley, and James Reid. He loves spending time with them.
