Special Operation Nets 10 Arrests

On Thursday, March 16, 2023, law enforcement with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, Dillon Police Department, and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division did conduct a special operation throughout the county of Dillon.

This operation was one to target the violent, and the high drug activity areas within the county.
Law enforcement did see success in this operation, but are aware that there is much more that has to be and will be done in this county. This is an ongoing operation that will not cease and there will be more arrest to come in the near future. Arrested during this operation were:
Kareem Marquel Sellers, of Dillon, charged with failure to stop for blue lights, trafficking cocaine 28g or more, but less than 100g-3rd offense, and malicious injury to property.

Gary Lee Williams, Jr. of Dillon, charged with distribution of meth (3 counts) manufacture, distribution, etc. of cocaine, possession of schedule IV drugs with intent to distribute, possession of other substance in schedule I, II, or III narcotics with intent to distribute. Ray Lavonda Smith of Latta, charged with felon in possession of a firearm, distribution of cocaine, and 4 counts of possession of other substance in schedule I, II, or III narcotics with intent to distribute 2nd offense.
Archie Thomas McCollum, Sr. of Riverdale, charged with felon in possession of a firearm, as well as possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Charlene Alston Williams of Dillon, charged with distribution of cocaine base narcotics.
Michael Franklin Clark of Riverdale, charged with unlawful carry of a firearm, as well as possession of 28g or less marijuana.
Corey Raashan Simmons of Latta, charged with possession of other substance in schedule I, II, or III narcotics with intent to distribute.
Lance Monroe of Dillon, charged with possession of other substance in schedule I, II, or III narcotics with intent to distribute.
Adonis Zynarius Kiawoh of Dillon, arrested on prior outstanding warrants.
