Nichole Lewis Is South Elementary’s Teacher Of The Year

Congratulations to Mrs. Nichole Lewis, South Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Lewis has been teaching for 13 years and has worked in Dillon School District Four for 9 years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Mrs. Lewis feels teaching is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world, as she is able to show students how much she cares for them daily and watch their faces light up when they learn something new.
Her mission is to build a relationship with every student and ensure they feel safe. She understands this must happen before they are open to learning from her. She became a teacher because of her love for teaching children and because she knows the relationship between her and her students will last long after they leave her classroom. She is a firm believer that educators make all the difference in the lives and futures of their students. Nichole grew up and resides in Dillon. She and her husband, Danny, have two daughters, Raylin and Brylee.
