Libby’s Recipes: Angie’s Meat Loaf

This week’s recipe comes from my sister’s in-laws in Taylorsville, NC. Judy really like it; she says the topping sets it apart.

Angie’s Meat Loaf
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1 cup milk
2 pounds hamburger
2 eggs
1/4 cup diced onion
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon sage

Soak bread in milk. Add other ingredients and mix by hand. Put in baking dish with the following topping.

3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup catsup
1/2 tablespoon mustard
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Bake 45 minutes to one hour at 350 degrees. Drain off excess grease.
