Batesburg- Bobby Eugene Sheppard died Saturday September 19, 2015 after a long illness. He is survived by his sons, Wayne Eugene Sheppard and his wife, Lynn; Donald Ray Sheppard; his brother, Dalton Sheppard, Jr and his sister, Katherine McFayden. He is also survived by his beloved dog and best friend, Hootie.
Bobby was born June 27, 1940 in Laurinburg, NC to Mary Stanley Sheppard and Dalton Sheppard, Sr. Bobby grew up in Dillon, SC and later moved to Columbia. In Columbia, Bobby opened a Texaco Dealership at Broad River Road on the newly constructed I-20. He was known to all whom he served for his generosity and sense of humor. Bobby was very active in Jamil Shrine Temple and a life member of Shriners International.
Bobby spent the last years of his life at Generations Nursing Home in Batesburg. Many thanks to the staff at Generations for their care and kindness to Bobby and Hootie.
A graveside service will be held at the Woodridge Memorial Park on Corley Mill Road in Lexington, on Wednesday, September 23 at 11:00 A.M. Condolences may be expressed at miltonshealy.com
