Letter: Theatre Needs Support For Final Performance

To The Benefactors, Patrons and Friends of The Dillon County Theatre:
We need your help! With your support, The Dillon County Theatre has brought yearly seasons of live entertainment to our stage for some twenty years. We could not have operated without that support, and we thank you . Your memberships, along with financial help from the city and county, have made it possible for us to have successful seasons. On Saturday, April 9, Robin Thompson and his extremely talented friends will bring us the final performance of the 2010-11 season. A special added attraction for this show will be Erika Bryant, Dillon’s own rising star, who has attained many awards and accolades for her marvelous singing and acting abilities.
In addition, Robin’s brother Shaw Thompson, will be showcasing his great tenor voice and directing the music. His wife Rebecca will thrill us with her beautiful soprano voice. There will be many others, equally as talented, who will join in, making this an evening of music we will long remember. Now we are urging you to please come and enjoy it. In recent years our attendance has dropped, in spite of our best efforts to bring events of excellent quality. It is most discouraging when our Patrons and friends are absent for the performances. We need your moral support! We know you want the theatre to continue to operate. It contributes greatly to the cultural and civic welfare of our community. Please make a special effort to come and enjoy Robin and Friends on Saturday, April 9, at 7:30.
