A man pled guilty in Marlboro County General Sessions Court in early December to the 2005 murder of Travis Gallishaw of Dillon.
Judge Michael Baxley sentenced 44-year-old Dexter Palmer of Clio to 30 years for the incident. Palmer is already incarcerated for a 2005 armed robbery in Dillon County.
Palmer is accused of beating and strangling Gallishaw at Palmer’s Clio home and then dumping his body in a wooded area off Dunbar Road in March 2005. He was identified by a fingerprint match.
