Jackson To Serve As Temporary Mayor Pro-Tem

Douglas Jackson will temporarily serve as Mayor Pro-Tem for the Dillon City Council.
Randolph Gurley was serving as Mayor Pro-Tem, but is currently on suspension.
Jackson was approved on a motion by Councilman John Braddy seconded by Todd Davis at the December meeting. He was unanimously approved.
Jackson serves District Four. He has been on council since April 1999. He is the owner/manager of Cotton’s Grocery and Meats.
Jackson is active in the community having served as  past- president Circle K (1987);  past -president Kiwanis (2001-2002); and as a Kiwanis member (1996-2005). He also has been active as a youth coach and assisting in local  high school football, according to the City of Dillon website.
He has a wife,  Ronya and four children, Kendall Ashley, Kyle Ashley, Loryn Jackson, and Kristopher “Nute” Jackson.
