Rev. Larry Williams of Dillon, pastor of Tabernacle of God Church, arrived in Haiti on Tuesday, January 12, prior to the devastating earthquake.
Williams went to Haiti on a ministry mission.
Williams was able to e-mail a local television station to let the public know that he had survived the earthquake.
The latest reports indicate that as many as 50,000 people died as a result of the earthquake.
