PHOTO GALLERY: Dillon Christian School Expecting Good Season

The Dillon Christian School Warriors, the 11-2 defending SCISA 1A state champions, will start the football season at Northwood on Friday, August 24.
Head Coach Christian Wolfe, who has coached for 7 seasons has won 56 games and lost 32, and his coaching staff must replace 11 starting seniors from last year’s squad.
After having lost key players such as quarterback Diaz Alexander, running back Montez Alford, wide receiver Jackson Wolfe, offensive lineman Evan Paul, offensive lineman Ereck Eck, linebacker Garret Collins, defensive lineman Samuel Coleman, and defensive back Ian Patterson, the Warriors must depend on young players to step up and contribute at the beginning of the season.
The Warriors have such top returners as senior John Rourke, 6’1″, 190-pound linebacker/tight end; senior Gage Bazemore, 5’8″, 150-pound wide receiver/kicker; senior Storm Sanderson, 5’10”, 190-pound defensive lineman/offensive lineman; senior A.Z. Brown, 5’8″, 175-pound defensive lineman/running back; junior Walt Bailey, 6′, 215-pound offensive lineman/defensive lineman; and sophomore Caleb Boykin, 6’2″, 210-pound linebacker/tight end.
The Warriors are returning a good nucleus on defense. However, offensively they have a long way to go just to determine who the starters will be as the season begins.
During spring practice, Dillon Christian School had around 30 who showed up.
If everyone has worked during the off-season, we should be ready to go as the season begins. By the end of he season we should be playing good football.
Coach Wolfe remarked “We still expect to be playing for the region championship and get a good seeding in the playoffs.”
