Mrs. Carolyn Christmas Herring, 63, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2018, at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Dillon County, SC, on December 7, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Robert Christmas and Mary Stanley Christmas. She was a graduate of Dillon High School and attended Florence-Darlington Technical College. She retired as an Office Associate with Wal-mart and was of the Holiness faith. She was an excellent cook and made many delicious meals for her family. Carolyn also enjoyed playing mystery games on the computer and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Amber. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Thomas E. Herring of their home; daughters, Christina Herring Fowler (Jimmy) of Dillon and Kimberly Gledura (Stephen) of Florence; a precious granddaughter, Amber Faye Fowler of Dillon; a sister, Joyce Christmas Miles (Milton) of Dillon.
Graveside Services wereheld 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon, directed by Cooper Funeral Home. The Rev. John Bryant will officiate. The family received friends on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home.
