Both the Lady Gators and the Lady Wildcats were eliminated from the playoffs this week, with Lake View falling to Timmonsville 82-48, and Dillon falling to Timberland 60-33.
In Class A playoffs, Timmonsville outscored Lake View in every quarter, going 23-12, 25-10, 19-12, and 15-14. Timmonsville’s Sade’ Eli led with 28 points and Ashley McKithen added another 27 to the win. Also scoring were Asia Graham, 13; Arnesha Brown, 10; and Carmen Jackson, 4. Brown picked up a total of 11 rebounds; Eli, 7; McKithen, 6; Jackson 5; Graham 3.
Stats for Lake View’s players were not available at press time. Lake View ends the season with a 6-10 overall record and 6-5 Region 8-A record for a fourth place region finish.
Timmonsville continued on to face Estill in round two last night. Estill won 60-55 over Baptist Hill in the first round.
In Class AA, the Lady Cats fell to Region 7 champs the Timberland Wolves, 60-33. Game stats were not available for either team at press time.
Dillon’s girls finish with a 6-15 record this season and fourth place in the region.
Timberland moves on to face North Charleston on Friday. North Charleston defeated Barnwell in round one, 54-13.
