The S.C. Highway Patrol is seeking information in a fatal wreck which occurred on Country Club Road on Monday.
Coroner Donnie Grimsley said that Edith L. Jones Marshall, age 44, Knotty Pine Road, Hamer, died in the wreck.
According to Lance Corporal Sonny Collins of the S.C. Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m.
The woman was heading east on Country Club Road in her 2003 Toyota Echo when she traveled off the right side of the road, went down an embankment and struck a tree. Collins said the woman was killed.
The wreck is under investigation by the Highway Patrol. Collins said a dark green midsize Sedan was seen by witnesses at the crash location.
The Highway Patrol is asking for the driver of that vehicle to come forward so that they may speak with this person or anyone has any information about who the driver is, may call the S.C. Highway Patrol at 661-4700 or by dialing *HP.
