A fire destroyed Piney Grove Holiness Church, located at 130 Small Road, early Sunday morning. Dillon County Station 2 Fire Chief Josh Holt said that firefighters received the call at about 3 a.m. and when they arrived it was fully engulfed. Station 9 (Oak Grove) and Floyd Dale Fire Department as well as Latta Rescue assisted at the scene.

The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office was called and along with SLED was investigating at the scene on Sunday afternoon. Further details will be in Tuesday’s issue.
