Dillon County has donated a retired fire department van to the Jackson Winkeler Foundation. The van was previously used by Dillon County Station 2—the department where Jackson Winkeler served as a volunteer firefighter at the time of his passing.

Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley has identified the woman killed in a stabbing at Sunflower Apartments as 29-year-old Vantazia Campbell of Dillon. Grimsley said Campbell’s body has been sent to MUSC in Charleston for an autopsy.
