The 7th Annual Latta Springfest 5K/10K/1 Mile Run hosted by the Latta High School JROTC Viking Battalion was greeted with great weather and an anxious crowd ready to run on Saturday, April 20th in downtown Latta.

Twenty-nine runners in the 5K and 10K race and twenty-five walkers of all ages in the 1 Mile Family Fun Walk took off from the Marion Street start line and soon thereafter finished, some more exhausted than others, but all finished, crossing the finish line in front of the Latta Baptist Church.

As it turned out every contestant won a trophy or a medal in their respective races and/or age groups. Winning the overall Men’s 5K race was Jeremiah Hayes of Latta finishing in 20 minutes and 22 seconds.
