Criterion Club Celebrates Platinum Anniversary

On Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. the Criterion Club of Dillon, South Carolina, founded November 28, 1945, celebrated seventy years of service to Dillon County and the surrounding areas.

DAR Honors Vietnam Veterans

The Dillon County 4-H Shooting Sports Club participated the Richland Creek 4-H Sporting Clays event on November 7, 2015 in Abbeville, SC at Rocky Knoll Sporting Clays Course.

Boy Scouts BBQ Held

0 Boy Scout Troop 761 held a BBQ fundraiser on Friday, November 6th, at Main Street United Methodist Church. In addition to serving some delicious barbecue provided by Mike Reaves, the event this year featured drive-up curbside service to make it more convenient for the customers. Garden Trivia Is Topic Of Club Program

The Glove and Trowel Garden Club met on Wednesday, October 14, at  3 P.M. at the home of Marilyn Zunk with 16 members present.

DHSF Meets

In March 2010 Don Barclay got together a group of people interested in renovating the Dillon High School auditorium built in 1936 and returning its use to the Dillon community.  Initially known as “Dillon Historic School Advocacy,” the members assessed the huge task they faced and kept their focus.  

Yellow Jessamine Garden Club Hears About Bluebirds

DHSF Meets

The October 6th meeting for The Dillon Historical School Foundation (DHSF) was held at the Dillon Chamber of Commerce Office and called to order by Chairman Gerald Berry at 7:00 p.m. Terry Morris, Vice Chairman, opened the meeting with an invocation.

Criterion Club Holds Camp

A six-week Summer Camp was held at the Criterion Club from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. daily.

DAR Holds First Meeting Of Season

Daughters of the American Revolution arrived at the Dillon Wellness Center for the first meeting of the season, got off to a good start on September 8, 2015 with newly elected Regent Chris Harris leading the pack.
