The Yellow Jessamine Garden Club of Dillon attended The Garden Club of South Carolina’s 2016 Summer Expo at the State Farmer’s Market in Columbia, South Carolina, on Saturday, July 16. Five members were in attendance.

The Dillon Area AARP Chapter # 5336 met on Monday, June 13,  at 2:00 p.m. in the meeting room of the Council on Aging with 26 members and three guests in attendance.

Rebecca Pickens Chapter Of The DAR Celebrated 100th Anniversary

Sixteen members of the Rebecca Pickens Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, met at Ashpole Presbyterian Church, Rowland, N.C., on May 10, 2016, to celebrate the 100th birthday of this chapter, which was chartered on May 9, 1916.

Palmetto Leadership Dillon County Alumni Association Forms

Palmetto Leadership is a program that focuses on developing leaders and helping them become effective contributors in their communities. Dillon County has had eight sessions of Palmetto Leadership in recent years and now several of its alumni are putting their skills to use in the community through forming a working alumni association.

Lake View Club Woman Of The Year Named

The Lake View Woman’s Club met May 3rd at a restaurant in Mullins for their year-end luncheon where Mary Grace Spivey was named Club Woman of the Year.
