Funeral services for Florrie Rachel Carter Dooley, 96, of Barnwell, SC will be held 3 o’clock p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Dillon, SC with the Reverends Dr. Charles F. Dooley, Rev. Dexter Lambert, Rev. Edgar Foster and Rev. Billy McLellan officiating, burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Dillon, SC.
The annual Woodmen of the World Lodges 120 and 1145 Awards Dinner was held Thursday, September 30, at 7:00 p.m. at the Woodmen of the World Hall at 1362 Old Latta Highway, Dillon.

The way that people consume information is changing rapidly, and I hear frequently that the death of newspapers is imminent. I think that people feel this way because they aren’t regular newspaper readers or they just don’t think that other people read newspapers as much as they did ten years ago.
