Storms caused quite a bit of disruption in the city limits of Dillon on Sunday, August 18th.. The strong winds and hail likely contributed to the downed tree limbs and the power outages. Duke Energy has restored power to areas affected. According to Emergency Services Director Daniel Moody there were transformer fires and lines down in the city limits. He advised it has not been confirmed at this time if there was a tornado.
