James Ronald “Ronnie” Edwards, of Dillon, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the age of 68.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Debbie Edwards, of 35 years; daughters Crystal Edwards of Columbia, Kellye Tedder and Nikki Edwards, both of Dillon; step-son Robbie Pace of Cheraw; brothers Kenny (Susie) Edwards of Dillon, and Steven Edwards of Florence; sister Pamela (Donald) Foreman of Bennettsville; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edwards and Esther White, grandparents Crayton Edwards and Bessie Jackson Edwards all of Dillon.
Ronnie was born on April 28, 1955 in Dillon South Carolina. He is a graduate of Dillon High School. While in high school, Ronnie worked at Dixanna Mill. After graduating Ronnie made a career as a mechanic for over 45 years.
Funeral services will be held at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 11, at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 3:00-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
