Claude Temple Grantham, Jr., 83, died at Thorne Retirement Home in Lake View, SC on Sunday, May 21, 2023.
Mr. Grantham was born in Mullins, SC on April 20,1940. The son of the late Anabel Harrington Grantham and Claude Temple Grantham. He is survived by his son Derrick C. Grantham, Charlotte NC, niece, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife Loretta F. Grantham, three sisters Lois G. Proctor, Jewell Campbell Smith and Mildred G. Birkmaier. Mr. Grantham was a lifelong member of Lake View United Methodist Church.
He attended Elon and Pembroke State Universities. Mr. Grantham retired as an insurance agent with American General Life Insurance Company, in which he won many rewards and trips recognizing his successful sales career. Earlier employment was with the SC Dept of Transportation.
A graveside service will be at the Lake View Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. May 26, 2023, directed by Cooke Funeral Home. Rev. Preston Grimsley will officiate the service.
