Special Recognition Service To Be Held For Bryants

The Congregation and Lead Pastor Aaron and Kimberly Leonard of Dillon Congregational Holiness Church will host a special service of recognition for Founding Pastor John L. Bryant, Jr., and his precious wife, Sarah Ray Bryant, on Sunday, April 2, 2023, beginning at 10:45 a.m.

This is a very special day of celebration and recognition for the Founding Pastor John L. Bryant, Jr., and his precious wife Sarah Ray Bryant. They will be honored for their lifelong love, and commitment to the church.
The Church was founded on November 3, 1974, in a storefront building with twenty-one people in attendance that first Sunday. God blessed and soon the congregation was able to purchase land on Black Branch Road. This is where the first sanctuary was built. Shortly thereafter, a larger sanctuary was erected. In addition, Sunday School rooms, Pastor’s study, Administrative offices, a Children’s Church and Gymnatorium were added. Also, an enclosed building was erected for the Church vans and a storage building was added.
“Reverend John L. Bryant, Highway” signage was erected by the department of transportation on Mark Road in Dillon County from its intersection with U.S. Highway 301 on August 29, 2021.
Reverend Bryant has preached more than eleven thousand sermons. He has prayed the sinner’s prayer with nearly four thousand people during his ministry. He is known as a “Soul Winner,’ which he states is his greatest accomplishment.
The congregation cordially invites friends, family, former members, and all who contributed along the way. We appreciate Pastor Bryant and his wife Sarah for all their years of service to God.
Lunch will be served immediately following the service.
Enjoy your well-deserved retirement. May God continue to bless you both.
