Ms. Linda Lupo Spivey, 83, died Friday, February 17, 2023, at her daughter’s residence after battling a brief illness.
Ms. Spivey was born in Lake View, SC on December 3, 1939, the daughter of James Woodrow Lupo and Hazel Lupo. She was a retired kindergarten teacher. She dedicated many years to her school babies and taught most of Lake View. Ms. Spivey was also a longtime member of Bear Swamp Baptist Church.
Ms. Spivey is survived by a son, Jack Spivey (Nancy); two daughters, Lisa Spivey Miller and Barbie Spivey Suggs (Lawrence); 7 grandchildren, Amanda McKenzie (Rusty), Lauren Ray (Chris), Michele Miller (Brittany), Amber Suggs (Josh), Chessie Holcomb (Justin), Bobby Spivey, and Amy Spivey; 8 great grandchildren, Balin Rice, Christopher Rice, Brayden McDaniels, Lennon Ray, Zolie Ann Ray, Holt Holcomb, Mitchell Jean Koester, and Joanna Holcomb; two brothers, Paul Lupo (Carolyn) and Jerry Lupo; and a special sister-in-law, Ann Spivey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby (Casey) Spivey; sister Patsy Miller; brother, James Woodrow Lupo, Jr. (Gert); and son-in-law, Mitchell Miller.
Ms. Spivey lived her life dedicated to the Lord and her church. She cherished family and loved spending time with them. When not with family or at church, you could find her working in her yard or keeping the roads hot.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 19 at 3:00 p.m. at Bear Swamp Baptist Church in Lake View, SC with the visitation prior to the service at 2:00 p.m., also at the church.
