Master Sergeant USAF Retired John David Williams, Sr.

Master Sergeant USAF Retired John David Williams, Sr., age 83, of McLean, Virginia passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022.

John David was born on September 29, 1939 in Little Rock, South Carolina, the son of John A. and Carrew Williams. After John David graduated from Dillon High School, he joined the US Air Force. He served in the US Air Force for over twenty years, during which he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He retired in 1978. He continued his dedication to the military in positions with the Air Force Sergeants Association and SPF Incorporated. John David was a life member of the VFW and long-time member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge.
John David was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his long-time partner and companion, Lily Felder; his two sons, John D. (Mary Ann) Williams, Jr. and Jerry A. (Jade Whipp) Williams; his five grandchildren, Colt (Brittany) Williams, Josh (Beth) Williams, Baylee Williams, Madison Williams, Marie (Paul) Fastenau and his nine great grandchildren.
John David’s friendly smile and laughter, as well as his gentle and kind personality will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
There will be a service for immediate family at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
