Selena Johnson Signs With Rams

Selena Johnson took the next step in her softball career and signed with the Southeastern Community College Rams of Whiteville, N.C., on Wednesday, November 2, at the Dillon Christian School Gymnasium located on Commerce Drive in Dillon, S.C.
She was joined by family, friends, softball players, coaches, and athletic director for this special occasion.
Johnson is a senior at Dillon Christian School where she played softball and volleyball. However, a volleyball injury sidelined her. She has played softball for 12 years and enjoys the sport.
Johnson is thankful to God for giving her the ability to play and the people to guide her. She has spent time working on her “fielding”, and now it’s the best part of the sport for her. She uses “fielding’ to take her mind off of stressful situations. She is a versatile player and plays almost every position except as a catcher. However, she mostly plays first base.
She should fit well at Southeastern Community College as everything she needs is there…it’s closer to home, and she gets to play the sport she loves.
Johnson received a leadership award from her travel ball team.
She will major in criminal justice and government, and then she will proceed to law school to get a degree in Family Law.
Johnson will carry much from the high school to the college level.
However, one very important item is that she will always be nice, whether it’s on the field or in the classroom.
One never knows what someone is going through. One’s kindness to another could really touch someone in that moment and leaving that kind of impact on someone’s life is the best feeling in the world!
When she is not studying, practicing, or playing softball, she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends and family, and being outside in nature.
Her parents are Anne and Randy Johnson. They are very proud of her accomplishments and look forward to her continued success in the classroom and on the softball field.
