PHOTO GALLERY: East Dillon Baptist Church Homecoming Held

The East Dillon Baptist Church held the 76th Homecoming Service on Sunday, November 6, at 11:00 a.m.
Prior to the service, many were in the kitchen preparing for the meal and fellowship that was to be held after the service.
East Dillon Baptist Church Pastor James Smith welcomed everyone to the service and had the opening prayer.
Mrs. Connie Smith led the congregation in song.
Mrs. Pattie Sue Scott had special music.
After announcements and prayer, Pastor James Smith and the entire congregation honored Bonnie C. Mew for 30 years of service as secretary to the church.
The church presented her with a plaque and a monetary gift. Mrs. Mew stated “It’s a joy and a sadness to retire.” She thanked everyone for allowing her to be a part of their church family.
Special music by Mrs. Johnna Elvington was presented prior to the homecoming message.
The homecoming message was by Pastor Robin Elvington of the McMillan Memorial Baptist Church of Marion, S.C.
Pastor Elvington spoke from Psalm 51.
After an invitation, a prayer was held and the congregation dismissed to the Fellowship Hall for the meal and fellowship.
East Dillon Baptist Church is located at 702 South Sixteenth Avenue, Dillon.
