Following Latta Town Council’s announcement at the called meeting on July 31, 2022, Lt. C. Zane Bryant took the reins of the Latta Police Department on Friday, August 5, 2022 as Interim Chief of Police.
Interim Chief Bryant has been with Latta Police Department since September of 2017. He is a native of Latta. Interim Chief Bryant extends his appreciation to the Latta Town Council for the vote of confidence and stated that “being a son of Latta, it’s more than just policing a town. This is my home and these are my people. I hope to continue to serve them while providing the level of safety and security our citizens expect and deserve. The Latta Police Department is working closely with local law enforcement agencies to assist with coverage and response during the rebuilding process.”
