Input Sought On Bridge Replacement Project By August 11th

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) requests comments from the public on the I-95 Bridge Replacement Project over the Great Pee Dee River in Florence County.
The SCDOT Commission approved a public comment opportunity for the proposed corridor improvement project during its July 21, 2022 meeting.
The public has the opportunity to comment on the action to amend the STIP to include the planning phase of work. SCDOT will accept public comment for a 21-day period from July 22, 2022 through August 11, 2022.

Project Name: I-95 Bridge Replacement Project over the Great Pee Dee River
Phase of Work: PL
Year: 2023
Cost: $1,000,000
The project will remove a scour critical bridge and replace it with a new structure that meets current standards. This is a heavily traveled interstate that helps move the motoring public, services, and goods throughout the state.
A summary of substantive comments will be made available to the Commission. Pending consideration of public comments, the approval of the phases of work will be added to a subsequent STIP version.
