Lady Gators Softball Pick Up District Title And Another Win

The Lake View Lady Wild Gators defeated the visiting Lowcountry Leadership Lady Gators 18-0 in Lake View on Wednesday, May 11, in the run-ruled District Championship.
Lake View placed 4 runs on the scoreboard in the first inning, added 5 runs in the second inning, and 9 runs in the third inning.
Lake View’s Baylee Miller was perfect at the plate with 2 hits and 3 rbi in her 2 at-bats. Becca Cox and Hollie Scott were also perfect with 2 hits and 2 rbi in each’s 2 at-bats. Raven Locklear had a double, a single, and 4 rbi in her 3 at-bats. Emma King had 2 hits and 2 rbi in her 3 at-bats. Spivey Evans had a double and a rbi in her 2 at-bats.
Raven Locklear picked up the win for Lake View. She pitched 3 innings and allowed no hits, no runs, no walks, and struck out 5.
S. Galloway was tagged with the loss. She pitched 3 innings and allowed 14 hits, 18 runs of which 14 were earned, struck out no one, and walked 4.
There were no errors committed in this game.
Also, the Lake View Lady Wild Gators edged the visiting Lamar Lady Silver Foxes 2-0 in varsity Lower State playoff game in Lake View on Friday, May 13.
The game was scoreless through 2 innings of play. Lake View managed to send a run across home plate in the bottom of the third inning to go up 1-0. Lake View added a run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Lake View’s Raven Locklear picked up the win. She pitched 7 innings and allowed no hits, no runs, walked 2, and struck out 9.
Abby McManus was tagged with the loss for Lamar. She pitched 6 innings and allowed 5 hits, 2 runs, walked 4, and struck out 5.
Lake View’s Spivey Evans and Hollie Scott each had a hit and a rbi in 2 at-bats. Baylee Miller had a hit in 2 at-bats. Zandasia McNeil was perfect at the plate with a hit in her 1 at-bat. Support your team.
