Richard Von Lewis, age 80, died March 3, 2022 surrounded by his family at his home in Barnesville, NC.
Mr. Lewis was born March 11, 1941 in Lumberton, NC to the late William Russell and Ruth (Rogers) Lewis.
After attending Barnesville High School and The Citadel, he enjoyed a lifetime of farming, logging, and deeply loving his family and friends. He was a member of Barnesville Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, William Thomas Lewis, Stephen Lewis, Mickey Lewis and Benny Lewis, and two sisters, Carole Page and Nora Hemby.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bobbie Tyndall Lewis; a son, Richard V. Lewis Jr. (Tammy) of Barnesville, NC and a daughter, Paige Lewis Anderson (Bill) of Winterville, NC; two grandchildren, Richard V. (Trey) Lewis III, and Sarah Lewis Parker, (Jared); two brothers, John (Dorothy) Lewis and Charles (Edna) Lewis; a sister, Jean Lushis and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Barnesville Baptist Church in Barnesville, NC.
Burial will immediately follow at Barnesville Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside.
