After 47 years at the pastorate, Rev. John L. Bryant announced his retirement to the congregation at Dillon Congregational on Sunday, December 12th, 2022. His last sermon at the pastorate was on Sunday, December 26th, 2021. Along with the help of his congregates, Pastor John has built a long history of successes both in the lives of folks within’ the community as well as church properties and assets that today exceeds well over a million dollars and all debt free. Pastor John will continue to serve the church, but at a reduced role as Founding Pastor.
The church announced Pastor, James W. Bryant accepted the new role as its Lead Pastor effective January 1st, 2022. Pastor James has served loyally alongside his dad John for the last 20-years as an assistant. He has been largely responsible for the birth and growth of the community involvement charities that have been given annually by the church. With his lead, Pastor James and the church has given countless hours of work and tens of thousands of dollars of donations to both national and local non-profit charities. Pastor James has written and published several books including his latest release this year, “Think on This,” (Truths of Life). “The greatest work in my life lies in revealing the truth, and that’s what I intend to do,” says Pastor James.
