Services for Grace Jones Calhoun will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Red Bluff Cemetery in Clio. Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Calhoun, 78, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, April 10, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Jim Jones and Thelma Jackson Jones. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clio, and she was a former Mrs. Clio High of 1958.
Survivors include her children, George B. Turner, III (Karen) of Dillon, Anthony Glenn Turner (Connie) of Lake View, Gina Turner Sims (Allen) of Lake View, and Shanda Thurlo (Wess) of Dillon; grandchildren, Ryan Turner, Ashley Webster, Kristin Spivey, Zack Turner, Robert Stubbs, and Keith Sims; great-grandchildren, Joceylyn & Lakyn Webster, Hadleigh Turner, Chole & Sophia, Landon & Walker Spivey, Ayden & Lucas Sims; sister, Rachel Jones of Bennettsville; brother, A.W. Jones of Suffolk, VA.
Mrs. Calhoun was preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Proctor, Lucille Fowler, Shirley Akers, and Adrian Stewart; brothers, Oneal Jones and LeGrand Jones.
