Sybil Hayes Page

DILLON – Sybil Hayes Page, 93, died on October 9, 2021, at The Manor in Florence. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. graveside, Wednesday, October 13, 2021, in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Page was born in the coal-mining town of Tams, West Virginia on April 25, 1928, a daughter of the late Henry Clyde Hayes and Mabel Hancock Hayes. Mrs. Page graduated from Latta High School in 1945 and received her degree in Commerce from Winthrop College in 1949. She was retired from the South Carolina Department of Social Services, served the Dillon County Farm Bureau as Secretary of the county organization for over 35 years, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dillon.
Mrs. Page was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Kirkland Page, Sr., and both of their sons, Joseph Kirkland Page, Jr. and Henry Mark Page.
Mrs. Page is survived by two grandsons, Henry “Hank” Mark Page II and Talmadge Kirkland “Kirk” (Brittany) Page, of Columbia, S.C.; a great-grandson, Mack Kirkland Page; a sister, Anne Hayes George of Latta, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Isabelle “Beth” Page Gammon of Cedartown, G.A.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff of The Manor in Florence for all of the care and kindness that was given to Mrs. Page. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to First Baptist Church, 400 North Fourth Avenue, Dillon, S.C. 29536 or to the charity of one’s choice.
