Services for Sarah Geneva “Winnie” Lane will be held 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lane, 87, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at her residence.
Born in Dillon County, SC, June 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Leneau Coward and Ruth Taylor Hodges.
Survivors include her son, James Wayne Williams of Dillon; daughters, Peggy Ruth Hively of Pelion, SC, and Millisa Jeannine Brown (Chris) of McBee, SC; sister, Faye Davis of Dillon; grandchildren, Billy Hively, Anglea Hattaway, Trey Nates, Tommy Christopher Williams, Jackie Williams Simmons, Kelly Williams Lively, and Jill Simmons; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Lane; grandson, Tommy Lee Hively; brothers, Bill Coward, Buddy Coward, and W.J. Coward; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Williams, Josephine Lewis, Shirley Lewis, and Gladys Jackson.
