Junior Callahan Speaks To Mount Calvary Brotherhood

Mount Calvary Baptist Church held the monthly Brotherhood, WMU, and BYU meeting on Monday, August 2, at 7:00 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall.

After a delicious meal and fellowship, the groups dispersed to the proper locations.
Brotherhood Director Joe Price made announcements and welcomed those in attendance.
Kenny Pittman, Jr. introduced Junior Callahan of Fairmont, N.C., as the guest speaker.
Callahan owns Cukabury Farm of Fairmont, N.C. He uses his event building to glorify God. Eddie Cox is the pastor who leads Bible study there.
Callahan learned the true meaning of worshipping while on the Emmaus Walk at Camp Grace. The Emmaus Walk is affiliated with the Methodist.
Callahan is working towards being where he should be in his service to God. God instructs us to serve him enthusiastically.
Callahan spoke from I Thessalonians, Chapters 4 and 5. Are you prepared? Do you read the Word? Are you obedient to God’s calling for your life? When someone sees you, does that person know you are a Christian? What do we need to have a strong faith?
Men were ordained by God to lead. We all need encouragement.
Every person we can reach for Christ is what we are here to do. It’s all about the Cross and eternal life. Be prepared at all times. If God came tonight, are you ready?
In Chapter 5, we are instructed to not be lazy. Be patient with everyone. Be joyful always. Be kind to everyone. Pray continually and have an attitude of prayer. Give thanks.
Where is your prayer life?
Are you right with God?
Mount Calvary Baptist Church is located at 405 Mount Calvary Road, Dillon. The pastor is Rev. Harold Cooke.
