SELLERS—Robert Marshall “Tinker” Allen, 71, passed away at the McLeod Medical Center of the Pee Dee in Florence, SC July 27, 2021.
A Graveside Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday July 30, 2021 in Magnolia Cemetery, Latta, SC officiated by The Reverend H. Frederick Gough.
The Family will receive friends after the service in the cemetery. Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta, is assisting the family
Robert was born in Dillon County April 8, 1950, the son of John Oliver and Katherine Bethea Allen. He retired from Willamette Mills in Bennettsville, SC and enjoyed working his cattle farm in his spare time. He was a devoted member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church. Robert was proud to be a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He is survived by his sister, Cathy Holloway (John) of Alabama; cousins, Teresa Miller (Michael) of Latta, SC, Jim Allen of Latta, SC, Russell Allen (Maureen) of Florence, SC, Michael Allen (Sarah) of Murrells’s Inlet, SC, Stephen Allen (Amy) of Latta, SC, Malcolm Johnson (Linda) of Florida, and Mike Bethea of Lancaster, SC. Robert was predeceased by his brother Joa Allen.
