Alpha Lambda Holds Year End Celebration

Alpha Lambda (Dillon County) Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met recently at Latta High School to celebrate the end of the 2020-2021 year.
Members enjoyed refreshments, recognized Paula Stranahan, who is retiring after 19 years of teaching, and welcomed Marisai McCrimmon as a new member, who will be formally inducted into the Society in the fall.
Chapter president, Marcia Bethea, presented 20-year membership pins to Sarah Pullie and Marty Watson, and a 10-year pin to Leigh Sloan. Jane Farmer, South Carolina State Organization District III director, was a special guest at the meeting.
Delta Kappa Gamma is an international professional honor society of key women educators, with members in 17 countries.
The society’s mission is to promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
