Two-Week Data Puts Dillon County As High Incidence For COVID-19 Cases

While surrounding counties are considered moderate incidence counties in regards to the number of COVID-19 cases, Dillon County is a high incidence county for COVID-19 cases for the period of March 27, 2021 to April 9, 2021, the latest data available from SC DHEC at press time.
During this time frame, Dillon County had had 71 confirmed COVID-19 cases and one death reported on April 3rd.
Since March 20, 2020, Dillon County has had 4,292 cases of COVID-19, 249 hospitalizations due to COVID-19, 81 deaths due to COVID-19, and 44,744 COVID-19 tests have been administered.
Of the population of age 15+ citizens in Dillon County, which amounts to 24,175, 7,780 residents have had one vaccine while 5,103 have received the total doses.

INFORMATION
All South Carolinians aged 16 and older are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and can schedule appointments. Currently, Pfizer is the only vaccine available to those aged 16-18.
All three vaccines—Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen—are available to those aged 18 and older. Visit scdhec.gov/vaxlocator to see the locations accepting vaccination appointments.
