A driver led law enforcement on a short chase, lost control of this vehicle, and avoided being picked up on Monday.
On Monday, June 1, 2020 deputies with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office were on patrol and observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle for the violation and the driver stopped momentarily, as the deputy was approaching the vehicle the driver sped off. A chase ensued, and the driver lost control of the vehicle on McLean Drive in Dillon after a short chase and exited the vehicle and ran.
The area was searched for the driver by officers with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and the Dillon Police Department.
The driver was not located at the time of the incident.
