DILLON – Rebecca Hulon Herring, 78, joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 9, 2020, while surrounded by her children. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon is assisting the family.
Rebecca was born April 10, 1942, in Fayetteville, NC, the daughter of the late Roy L. Hulon, Sr. and Ruby Smith Hulon. She retired as an Administrative Assistant for the Dillon Police Department. Mrs. Herring expressed her love for God through her kindness and membership to First Baptist Church in Dillon. Rebecca was also a faithful member of the Dillon Historical Society.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her son, Dennis J. Herring of Fort Mead, Maryland; daughter, Deneene Herring of Dillon, SC; sisters, Rhonda Nicolas of Rock Hill, SC and Estelle Hayes (Jimmy) of Lake View, SC; and furry grandchildren, Nik, Petey and Matthew. Rebecca was preceded in death by her brother, Roy L. Hulon, Jr.; and sisters, Barbara Jean Hulon, Jean Miller and Linda Hayes.
Dennis and Deneene would like to thank Hospice Care of South Carolina and most especially, Shannon Sawyer Carter, Taliya McNeil and Sydney for the care and love they showed to their Mother.
