The September meeting of the Magnolia Garden Club was hosted by the 2019-2020 Officers at Latta Schools Board Room.
Amanda Morrell created a stunning arrangement of a dragon wing begonia in a beautiful container as the centerpiece.
The ladies enjoyed chicken salad croissants, cheese wafers, and lemons and strawberry cupcakes made by Frances Rouse.
Program Chairman Amanda Morrell led the garden club with a planning session entitled “Growing Together.”
She first announced our newest member Rachael Caulder.
Amanda then went through the yearbook so we had an idea of the exciting programs the year holds as we work together “Growing our Garden Knowledge.”
Then members discussed upcoming potential projects and fundraising such as the Belva Finklea Garden and the Harvest Festival.
Ideas were provided for fundraisers that the members could brainstorm further. Each member will contribute a cake for the Harvest Festival Cake Sale.
Patty Griffey, Treasurer presented a balance of $2,866.35.
Amanda was then going to check on a clean-up date of October 12 before the Harvest Festival.
