Yankees Hand Giants 5-3 Loss

The Physicians Healthcare Yankees handed the Dillon Dental Giants a 5-3 loss at the Michael Lecholop Field in Dillon Kiwanis baseball action on Tuesday, May 21, behind the pitching of Dawson Munns to claim the championship.
Physicians Healthcare Yankees’ Jackson Outlar got the offense going in the bottom of the first inning on a hit to center for a double. Dawson Munns hit a home run to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead after 1 inning of play.
Neither team could muster enough offense in the second inning to get a run across home plate.
In the bottom of the third inning, Jackson Outlar garnered a lead-off walk for the Physician Healthcare Yankees. The Yankees managed to score a run in this inning.
In the top of the fourth inning, the Dillon Dental Giants placed 2 runs on the scoreboard to cut the lead to only 1 run, 3-2.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Dawson Munns for the Physicians Healthcare Yankees hit 1 to center that scored Jackson Outlar who had picked up a walk.
The Dillon Dental Giants’ Michael Love garnered a walk in the 6th inning. The Giants’ Austin Miles hit a double to score Michael Love. Ryan Carter hit a shot to second and the Physicians Healthcare Yankees’ Weston Byrd threw Carter out at first for the final play of the game.
