Maxwell Gabriel “Bubba”‘ Moody, 18, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on Sunday, March 3, 2019.
Born in Marion County, SC, on July 30, 2000, he was the loving son of Dennis Martin Moody, Jr. and Becky Deneen Erwin Moody. “Bubba” was a graduate of the Latta High School Class of 2018 and attended the Dillon Church of God as often as he could. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially liked duck hunting with his trusty Benelli shotgun with the lucky MOJO decal and his prize duck calls. “Bubba” enjoyed mud-bogging and 4 wheeling with his friends, listening to music, and most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. He was a talented musician who could play the piano, drums, acoustic guitar and bass guitar.
He is survived by his parents, Dennis Martin Moody, Jr. and Becky Deneen Moody of the home in Latta; a sister, Taylor Moody of the home; paternal grandfather, Dennis Moody, Sr.,of Latta; maternal grandfather, Freddie Erwin of Marion, SC; and by a number of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
A Service to Celebrate and Remember the Life of Maxwell Gabriel “Bubba” Moody will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Bishop Joe Grice of the Dillon Church of God. The family will receive friends from 3-4 P.M. in the funeral home chapel prior to the service.
