The Latta Vikings varsity baseball team picked up a 15-0 win in 3 innings over Carvers Bay in a non-league game played in Loris on Monday, February 25.
The Vikings picked up 11 runs in the first inning, added 3 in the second inning, and 1 in the third inning and held Carvers Bay to no hits and no runs. Carvers Bay also committed 4 errors.
Peyton Benson picked up the win for Latta while striking out 7.
C. Radeliffe pitched 2.2 innings and S. Williams pitched 0.1 inning for Carvers Bay.
Russ Rogers had 3 hits and 4 rbi to lead Latta. Dylan Brewer and Chase Mishue each had 2 hits and 2 rbi. Nate Lee and Trey Anderson each picked a walk for Latta.
Russ Rogers and Deonte Stanley each had 4 QABs, and Chase Mishue had 3.
Latta will host Carvers Bay on Tuesday, March 12, at 6:00 p.m.
