The visiting Mullins Auctioneers proved to be too much for the Latta Vikings to handle on Friday, Dec. 14, as Latta lost 77-51.
The Latta boys were down in the first quarter but fought back and trailed by only 2 points, 11-9, at the end of the first quarter.
Latta took a 5-point lead at the mid-point of the second quarter and maintained a small lead until Mullins rallied and by halftime the score was knotted at 29. Both teams had played each other well in the first half of the fast-paced action. In the third quarter, the Auctioneers built a 17-point lead with 2:19 remaining in the third quarter. By the end of the third quarter Latta found themselves down by 20 points.
